Who we are
Living Compassion is a non-profit in Sequim, WA, that offers the Africa Vulnerable Children Project, a program that assists a community in Kantolomba, Ndola, Zambia.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
We ask only for information necessary to process donations and registrations for workshops, retreats, and other practice offerings. Your information is used solely for internal purposes.
Your personal information is safe with us. We maintain appropriate security measures to keep your information private and secure. We have integrated physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
Types of data we collect
Google Analytics
When someone visits livingcompassion.org we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things, such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is processed in a way that does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for our mailing lists, we collect your name, email address, city, state, country, ZIP/postal code, and what information you want to receive from us, such as Daily Peace Quotes, the Newsletter, Musings, notifications of Practice offerings, and/or updates on Practice at our Center in Mountain View. We also use that information to limit the amount of email we send based on location. We don't sell, rent, or loan your information to other organizations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics on email openings and clicks, using industry standard technology to help monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing support@livingcompassion.org
Registration and Donation Data
When you donate or register for a workshop or retreat or other practice offering, we ask only for information necessary to process donations and registrations. Donation data is stored for the purposes of acknowledging donors and sending tax receipts. Again, we do not share personal details with any organization or company.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete your personal information that we hold. Email your request to support@livingcompassion.org.
