One nice thing about our longer trips in the summer is that we can actually leave the Kantolomba team alone on the weekends. When we are here for our short “business trips” (usually only a week on the ground) during the rest of the year, we pretty much work with the team straight through the week. The only downside of no weekend business is that there is not much news to blog. BUT… as luck would have it, a new technology is allowing us to get some short video clips back to the U.S. team so we hope you enjoy this selection of video from the project. We think it gives a more three-dimensional perspective.

But first, a few snaps of a very special visit on Sunday afternoon—Muyunda and his family.

Elizabeth (turned one year old on Aug. 19) and her mom, Samdra.

Now that is some cuteness!

She crawls under the table to play with Mama Cheri.

And now some video:

Charles mixing cement. A sneak preview of our learning Bemba program—stay tuned.

Out for recess.

Cheri cooks nchima.

Marion and a friend play catch. Note: This is one of about a dozen stuffed animals that a Living Compassion visitor gave the cooperative three years ago. They still have all of them! They take them out after school for children to play with.

Beatrice teaching her class colors. They are singing “Flag of Zambia.”
