Little Sandra just finished her chunk of nshima and she was boasting how full and satisfied she was. She will just hang around the property and play.

Little Susan, who was in Beatrice's class, is now in Grade 1 at Government School. She was one of the bright students at Living Compassion and even at Government School she is doing very well. Her mum is very proud of her.

This week, water was in short supply in Kantolomba, and at the property we had long queues as early as 0400hrs in the morning. The community in Kantolomba are lucky to have clean water here at Living Compassion. They did not have to walk very far to collect the commodity. Here Eliadah is fetching water for her home.

Remember Natasha Mizinga? She was one of the first 100 children in the Living Compassion program. She has grown up and is in Grade 10. She and her mother left Kantolomba when she was in Grade 5 after her father passed on, and now they live in Lusaka. Here she visits the property.

Reading is a plus in one's life. Here our 78-year-old caretaker's husband is able to read perfectly. The girls came running to me when they saw him reading and asked me if they could ask him if he finished school. He told them how he went to school in the old days and how he was the brightest student in his school. The girls listened with interest and promised him that they will work hard so that they can read clearly and read to their children later on in life.
